For the first--and last--time, Section 9's Washingtonville High School put together a full team for the Alumni Run in 1990. Regardless, they were no match for the relentless Albertus Magnus men, who ran to their second straight victory using basically the same top 5 that scored from the previous year. Sixteen men break 16:00 in one of the fastest--and closest--races on record. Nanuet's Rita Keahon becomes the race's first ever 3-time champion, male or female, becoming the first woman under 18:00 in the process. The Nanuet women win their second title in three years by taking four of the first five spots.

Happiness--the field of 157 runners sets a new record for overall participation.

Unhappiness--the Clarkstown North men drop from second in 1989 to tenth in 1990. Ugh.
